CLINTON TOWNSHIP ORGANIC COMMUNITY GARDEN
Lend a Helping Hand
The Clinton Township Organic Community Garden is a volunteer-led and managed NJ Nonprofit Organization. Garden members volunteer time to cover a multitude of roles including leadership, routine maintenance, improvement projects and everything inbetween. It’s what keeps our garden evolving and running smoothly while simultaneously building and strengthening relationships.

In addition, we welcome individuals, groups and organizations who want to make a difference by helping us with our efforts and goals.

Group Work Events
Throughout the season, small groups get together to perform routine maintenance and upkeep around the garden during 2-hour group work events. The needs vary from session to session, but will almost always include some weeding and wood chip spreading.

Join us during these work events and you’ll meet wonderful people and learn more about our community garden! Our group work events are a great way to earn volunteer hours for those seeking to fulfill requirements for high school, scouting, corporate recognition, etc.
To be included, simply select your date(s) from our SignUp link and bring a Completed Waiver with you on your selected volunteer date. If you select multiple dates, we only need one completed waiver per season to be turned in at your first date. To find the garden, follow the directions on the Contact tab.

Eagle Scout Projects
In 2019, the OCG was the recipient of an Eagle Scout Project that brought easy access of irrigation water to our gardeners (Keval Rubinchik, Troop 288 of Clinton, NJ). The project was a collaboration between our two volunteer-led organizations. It was hard work but also a lot of fun, and the benefit to both the garden and the Eagle candidate was rewarding and ever-lasting. We welcome the opportunity to discuss additional Eagle Scout projects with candidates. Please contact us if you have an idea for a project that would benefit the community garden, or reach out if you need an idea!
